Welcome To Mesa Window Tinting Pros!

So let's clear one thing up--just admit that you want your vehicle's windows tinted because it looks awesome. We can't blame you, nor can we disagree. Cars, trucks, and anything else operated on the road, look so much better with tinted windows. If you took two of the exact same vehicle--same make, same model, same sub-model, same wheels, same color, etc. and tinted the windows on one and not the other, which one would be more attractive? Hands down, the one with tint. Obviously you agree, or you wouldn't have stumbled upon our website in your pursuit of improving the overall appearance of your vehicle. Depending on who you ask, looks may be the only reason to get your car windows tinted. There is, however, another huge benefit to having your windows tinted. That benefit is longevity.

Our vehicles are oftentimes our second-largest investment behind our place of residence, and so it makes sense that if there were a way to help ensure our vehicles stay nicer for a longer period of time, we wouldn't think twice about it. Window tinting also accomplishes that feat. By blocking out a portion of the sun's harmful rays and subsequent associated heat, window tint helps reduce interior temperatures, and it also reduces the amount of sun exposure on the more delicate parts of our vehicles such as the dash, seats, console, door panels, and more. This reduced heat/sun exposure ultimately prevents, or at the very least, delays the excessive deterioration of these more delicate materials thus keeping our vehicles looking nicer, longer. Exterior parts of vehicles are made to withstand the elements, or at least to be resistant to them. The interior, however, is another story. Your vehicle's interior is designed to be user-friendly, comfortable, appealing to the eye, and functional. This is the exact reason why having your windows tinted is a no-brainer. Not to mention, in our society today, we spend an ever-increasing amount of time in our vehicles. Nobody would knowingly choose to drive a vehicle anywhere if the interior was sun-bleached, dry-rotted, and/or had cracks all over it unless they had no other option. Fortunately there is an option and it's a reasonable one at that--window tint.

How Much Is Window Tinting?

Unfortunately, there's no simple, one-size-fits-all approach with regard to pricing when it comes to window tinting. There are several variables which can affect the price.

The biggest determining factor when it comes to cost associated with having windows tinted is the number and size of the windows. More or larger windows will inherently require more materials and time and thus result in a higher cost.

Quality of the tint film used is another determining factor. There are various companies that manufacture tint film, and many product lines within each of those companies. We recommend and use only the highest quality films. It's one thing to skimp a little or cut a few corners here and there in a place that has consistently nice, comfortable climate with little to no exposure to massive temperature fluctuations. It's a whole other animal to do the same here in Arizona. We oftentimes have fluctuations in temperature, sometimes close to 100 degrees of variance throughout the year. A low-quality film will simply not handle these temperature extremes well and will last a very short amount of time. You truly do get what you pay for with window tint and in a geographical region like Arizona, we understand the importance of never compromising on quality.

Does Window Tinting Come With A Warranty?

The short answer is "yes", IF it comes from a reputable, high-quality manufacturer and is installed by a knowledgeable, skilled company. Obviously any company that offers a warranty on their products stands behind them wholeheartedly. They are clearly confident in their products, and you should be also. Don't settle for cheap tint film. Tint should be considered an investment. It's probably safe to assume that you want a product that last years, not just months. Spend a little extra for quality now and you'll be sure to not be disappointed later.

How Dark Can My Window Tint Be?

Different states have different laws regarding how dark auto tint can legally be. In Arizona, we are fortunate, probably due to the temperature extremes we face, that the laws governing window tint are fairly relaxed. In states like California, however, they are considerably more strict when it comes to vehicle window tinting. In Arizona, the law allows vehicle owners to go as dark as 35% on front side windows and 5% on your rear passenger door window and rear window, however colored tint is not permitted. A small tint strip on the front windshield can be legally installed if preferred. It is always best to do this after you ensure that you don't need a windshield repair. If you do have visible chips or cracks, it always best to consult a windshield repair or auto glass replacement specialist.

If an officer believes your front windows are tinted too dark, he/she can issue you a citation. They typically don't do this just by visually inspecting; most officers use a tint meter to accurately measure the amount of light passing through the tint which will equate to a tint percentage. If you are over that legal limit, then a citation may be issued. In Arizona, the type of citation issued is typically what is referred to as an Equipment Repair Order, sometimes referred to as a "fix-it" ticket. The vehicle owner must then remove the illegal tint or have it removed and replace it with tint that is legal or leave the windows without tint. Most reputable shops will replace the tint for free if they knowingly made a mistake when installing the tint in the first place. If you do not comply with the instructions provided on the citation, you may face fines of $250 or possibly more. This is one of the main reasons why it's extremely important to hire a reputable shop. Reputable shops will install your tint exactly as requested (within the limits of the law) the first time, so you don't have to deal with it ever again.

Are There Different Types Of Window Tint?

As mentioned above, there are various levels of quality when it comes to window tint material and workmanship. In addition to varying quality, there are also different types of tinting material.

The best, and expectedly most expensive, type of window tint is ceramic. Ceramic window tint is hands-down the highest quality tint film you can buy. Unlike other film materials, it has no metals or dyes in it. Rather, this tint material is composed of ceramic particles that are both non-metallic and non-conductive. Due to this fact, ceramic tint does not negatively impact the signals of cell phones, gps devices, or handheld radios like other tint materials do. A new version of ceramic tint has recently shown up on the scene: ceramic-carbon tint which is a hybrid version of both materials. When utilized together, these two materials help stabilize the color of the tint, while simultaneously increasing the tint's durability, heat rejection and visibility.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is what's known as dyed tint. Dyed tint requires no special or advanced technology in its development. It is  simply a film with dye impregnated in between the film itself and the adhesive layer. Due to the lower tint quality, the sun's rays will eventually start to discolor this type of tint oftentimes fading it to purple, brown, or in extreme circumstances, this tint can even become transparent. Dyed tint is inexpensive due to the fact that no advanced technology or materials are used in the manufacturing process to improve its performance. As a result, due to its poor functionality, lower durability, and common bubbling problems, this type of window tint needs to be replaced more frequently than the higher-end materials.

Carbon is yet another material used as a stand-alone or in conjunction with other materials in some window tint. Carbon window tint contains carbon particles which are extremely effective at blocking infrared light, which subsequently helps keep vehicle interiors cooler. It will not fade quickly and it does not contain any metal so there is no negative impact to any transmitting devices. The one negative associated with carbon film is that it tends to create more glare or haze than some of the other materials, sometimes making it difficult to see outside your vehicle. This is most likely the exact reason why tint manufacturers have pioneered technologies to incorporate the use of other materials along with carbon to eliminate this problem.

Residential Window Tinting

If you have a window or several that just allow a bit too much light in, or even if they just create a bit too much glare at certain times throughout the day, window tint may be the perfect solution to your problem. As with car window tinting, residential window tinting helps prevent some of the sun's harmful rays and the associated heat from entering into your home. This not only makes the environment more soothing to the eyes, but also more comfortable and easier to maintain from a temperature standpoint. Our residential window tinting really enhances the quality of light that enters in through your windows and may even same you money on your utility bills.

Commercial Window Tinting

If your place of business has large windows that let in too much light at certain times of day and/or produce unwanted glare, window tint might just be the answer you've been searching for. Our window tint will not negatively affect or impact the visual quality of the window. In fact, by eliminating the glare and preventing some of the sun's rays from entering into your business through the windows, it gives a very similar effect as high definition does on a TV, smartphone, or computer monitor. It tends to make everything sharper, clearer, more defined and more balanced. Not to mention, it can also help with employee mood, productivity, alertness, and subsequent morale. As with automotive and residential tint, commercial tint also may have a positive impact with regard to utility bills as a result of making the place of business easier to regulate temperature within and more efficient as a result.
